BRIDGES – CAPES Global.Edu

BRIDGES—Building Research and Innovation towards Development and Global Exchange for Sustainability — is an academic cooperation network established under the CAPES Global.Edu Program. Coordinated by the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), it brings together five other Brazilian institutions from different regions of the country to promote internationalization and sustainability.
The project is organized around three main thematic pillars: the Global Inclusion Hub, focused on the humanities and social justice; the Life on Earth Hub, centered on the biological sciences; and the Innovative Processing Hub, dedicated to the exact sciences.
Based on a collaborative governance model, the network seeks to reduce regional disparities and enhance the quality and international visibility of Brazilian graduate education.
